UCFB University

A World First in Higher Education, UCFB delivers undergraduate degrees and executive education in the administrative, management, creative and operational business facets of the global multi-billion pound football, sports and leisure industries.

UCFB Wembley is located within the world-class Wembley Stadium, the spiritual home of English football and sports. UCFB Burnley resides at Turf Moor, home of Premier League team Burnley FC.
Each individual student at UCFB has the opportunity to study a traditional academic subject within the context of an industry for which they have a genuine passion and interest.

At UCFB we have selected our degree programmes with great care in partnership with the wider and global sports industries to ensure that not only do our students have best-in-class business and management capabilities but also understand the skills required and the nuances of the range of sports careers.

UCFB bridges the gap between education and business. Students have significantly more contact time than those at traditional UK universities, allowing a unique approach to education. We provide two curricula; the traditional academic curriculum encompasses the exams and coursework where students are taught by leading figures in football business and sports academia, and our Complementary CurriculumTM, a three year journey of professional and personal development with access to best-in-class industry guest speakers and extensive work experience opportunities.

UCFB has the highest quality standards for its degrees. There is a common core across the degrees in the first year so that all students benefit from a broad exposure to the fundamentals of business management. You will develop a chosen specialism as well as an understanding of how this fits in with other core disciplines in the football and wider sports industry. The special features of the football and sports industry are also identified in each business studies module, exploring the core fundamentals of the football and sports sector. In the second year, the study time is divided between the football and/or sports business pathway and your chosen specialism.

The third year includes a football or sports business research project (dissertation). You will graduate with the satisfaction of having researched a pressing issue in the football and sports industry through having had the opportunity to discuss your work decisions and recommendations with those in the football and sports business grappling with the very same question(s).
